Pinger will provide free instant voice message updates to mobile phones regarding surf conditions and the status of the Contest. Pinger offers a way for surfers and fans to quickly hear the actual ?greenlight? voice message from Mavericks pioneer and Contest Director Jeff Clark. Once waves reach contest-worthy conditions of 30-40 feet, the Mavericks team will greenlight the contest giving the 24 invited surfers 24 hours to arrive in Half Moon Bay ready to compete.
