Who is stalking them, and why?
For some surfers, riding the largest swells has long been a seasonal challenge... one traditionally undertaken in Hawaii. The big wave crown has shifted to the mainland in recent decades, and spot called Maverick's is the new King. But there are rumors of other waves, in far away places, that might lay claim to the throne.
Can South Africa compete with the mighty North Pacific? Is a mythical break off of the Cape of Good Hope on par with massive Maverick's?
How do riders overcome the treacherous hurdles that lurk in their primal arena? Are Giant Sharks more frightening than Giant Waves? Are these extremists crazy, or are they just some extraordinary athletes with an eccentric passion? Join the crew and decide for yourself.
