10 January, 2007 : - - The Surf Sssion Big Challenge presented by Globe, Round One went off today Wednesday 10th January 2007 at Parlementia, Guethery, SW France. Waves were in the 3.00 to 3.50m size-range and a bit choppy. Manu Portet (Bidart) won the first heat ahead of Max Larretche, whilst Christophe "Hans" Mouginot took the second heat ahead of Thomas Portet (Bidart). The final two heats of Round One took place in the afternoon. The first two finishers in all four heats will now compete in the finals scheduled for next Saturday. The finalists heats are listed above.
